FAQ – Frequently asked questions about the hotel
Is the hotel quiet?
Our hotel is situated on the outskirts of Lahr, surrounded by lush meadows and fields. From Luhnhof, the forest 100 meters away from the hotel, there are connections to the hiking and biking trails in the direction of the Moselle and the Hunsrück.
Does the hotel have an e-charging station?
We offer you a 22 KW charging station for your electric car.
Is a late arrival possible?
Arrival is usually possible until 9 pm. Due to the restaurant business, we are often on site longer for check-in. By arrangement, we can send you a code for our key safe via WhatsApp, which will then hold the key cards for you. So you can arrive contactless at any time.
At what time can I have breakfast?
With our breakfast buffet you can start the day comfortably every day from 8.00 to 10.00 am.
Can I have breakfast at the hotel when I am not a hotel guest?
Don’t feel like preparing breakfast for yourself and your family? Sit down in our restaurant and enjoy an extensive breakfast! Please book in advance by 8 pm the evening before.
We charge € 23 per person for our rich and healthy breakfast buffet with over 90 different products.
Children between 6 and 11 years pay € 16, between 2 and 5 years € 10. Children under 2 years are free.
How far away is the Moselle river?
Lahr is on a hill on the front side of the Hunsrück. It is just a 10 minute drive from the Mosel and 25 minutes from the famous town of Cochem.
How far is it to the river Rhine?
You can reach both Boppard and Sankt Goar (Loreley) in 35-45 minutes by car via the Hunsrück-Höhenstraße B327.
Do i have internet access?
All hotel rooms and apartments and the dining areas offer Internet access via WiFi.
Are there smoking and non-smoking rooms in the hotel?
Our hotel is a non-smoking hotel by our own conviction!
If you have a room with a balcony we can provide an ashtray upon request.
What payment methods are accepted?
We love cash payment! We accept Girocard, Maestro and V-Pay as card payments.
If you wish to pay with Visa and Mastercard, this is of course possible. Please note, however, that only the banks are supported for credit card payments, not us as the service provider!
If the invoice amount is transferred within 14 days of your reservation, we grant a 2% discount (the reservation must be made at least 30 days before the start of the trip).
Is there a cancellation fee?
You will receive the cancellation policy with your booking confirmation. The cancellation conditions vary depending on the rate booked.
A free cancellation on the day of arrival until 6 pm is generally NOT possible!
Generally, we recommend that you get a travel insurance.
When can I check in, when do I check out?
Early arrival and later departure are only possible by prior arrangement. We charge € 25for early check-in. For a late check-out until 12 noon we charge € 20. Arrival is possible until 21:00. If you arrive later, please let us know and provide us with a mobile phone number. Per WhatsApp oder SMS senden wir Ihnen den Code für unseren Schlüsseltresor zu. So you can check in independently and contactlessly whenever you like.
Does the hotel/apartments have bedding suitable for allergy sufferers, extra pillows or head wedges?
Is there a possibility for an extra bed in my room / apartment?
An extra bed is possible in almost all Comfort double rooms and the apartments.
You will receive information on this when you make your reservation.
Are baby beds available ?
Are dogs allowed in the hotel / apartment?
Dogs are only welcome with us by direct booking.
We do not accept dogs via booking portals!
A maximum of one dog per hotel room/apartment is permitted by prior arrangement.
You may bring your dog with you on condition that your dog is not left alone in the hotel room/apartment.
We charge € 15 per night (without food).
For breakfast with your dog, please use the entrance of our fireplace room. Your dog is not allowed direct access to the main restaurant during breakfast time due to the buffet in the entrance area. During the restaurant opening hours, your dog is allowed to accompany you to the restaurant.
Due to our experiences, we feel compelled to point out that we do not tolerate dogs on sofas and beds. Please bring your own dog blanket. If the bed and sofa become soiled due to dog hair, we charge a flat rate for the additional cleaning effort of € 150
When booking, please let us know if you would like to bring a dog for a fee.
Are the rooms / apartments accessible for the handicapped ?
In the main building we offer 2 wheelchair-accessible Comfort double rooms.
Reception and catering are accessible via a ramp. There is a toilet on the ground floor that can be used with a wheelchair but has no grab rails!
Does the hotel have an elevator?
What is the screen size of the TV’s ?
Our hotel rooms are equipped with 26″ or 32″ flat screen televisions.
All flats have 32″ flat screen televisions.
Is there a car park?
Is there a way to park my bike / bicycle safe at night?
Our recycling room is available for bicycles. There are also sockets for charging the bike batteries.
Is there enough room to park my car with (motorcycle)trailer?

What are the opening times of the sauna?
We charge € 0 per person.

Sie möchten die Sauna exklusiv nutzen? Hierfür berechnen wir für 3 Stunden € 15.
Sauna- und Duschtücher liegen für Hausgäste bereit. We will be happy to provide you with a bathrobe for a usage fee of € 5, which can be used for the entire duration of your stay. Refreshments will also be available for you.
Can I use the sauna when I am not staying at the hotel?
During our opening hours, the sauna will be at your disposal. Give us a call.
