Is the hotel quiet?

Our hotel is situated on the outskirts of Lahr, surrounded by lush meadows and fields. From Luhnhof, the forest 100 meters away from the hotel, there are connections to the hiking and biking trails in the direction of the Moselle and the Hunsrück.

How far away is the Moselle river?

Lahr is on a hill on the front side of the Hunsrück. It is just a 10 minute drive from the Mosel and 25 minutes from the famous town of Cochem.

How far is it to the river Rhine?

The ‘Hunsrück-Höhenstraße’ takes you in 35 minutes to Boppard as well as St. Goar (Lorelei).

At what time can I have breakfast?

With our breakfast buffet daily from 8.00 to 10.00 o’clock and on Sundays and public holidays until 10.30, you can have a relaxed start of your day.

Don’t feel like preparing breakfast for yourself and your family? Sit down in our restaurant and enjoy an extensive breakfast! Please make reservations so we know you are coming.
We charge €21,50 per person for our rich and healthy breakfast buffet with over 90 different products.
Children between 6 and 12 years receive a 30% discount, between 2 and five years a 50% discount. Children under 2 years are free.

Do i have internet access?

All hotel rooms and apartments and the dining areas offer Internet access via WiFi.

Are there smoking and non-smoking rooms in the hotel?

Our hotel is a non-smoking hotel. If you have a room with a balcony we can provide an ashtray upon request.

What payment methods are accepted?

You are welcome to pay in cash. We accept giro and Maestro. For our hotel rooms we also accept Visa and Mastercard. Please appreciate that we do not accept credit cards when booking a self-catering apartment or arrangement. Of course the full amount may also be transferred prior to arrival.

Is there a cancellation fee?

For the rules for cancellation of reservations, please see our the terms and conditions. These rules and regulations comply with statutory regulations. Generally, we recommend that you get a travel insurance. If you cancel your travel, the following compensation scheme based on the Guest Accomodation Agreement applies:

When you cancel your trip the following compensation regulation applies:
Cancellation up to 10 days before arrival free of charge
Cancellation 10 days to 4 days before arrival 60% of the tour price for bed and breakfast,
Cancellation 3 days or more before arrival 90% of the tour price for bed and breakfast.
No-show 100% of the tour price for bed and breakfast.

For group reservations from 4 units, the following cancellation conditions apply:
20 % deposit upon reservation.
Cancellation up to 61 days before arrival € 40 expense compensation,
Cancellation 60 days to 21 days prior to arrival 20% of the tour price for bed and breakfast,
Cancellation 20 days to 10 days prior to arrival 40% of the tour price for bed and breakfast,
Cancellation 9 days to 4 days prior to arrival 60% of the tour price for bed and breakfast,
Cancellation 3 days prior to arrival 90% of the tour price for bed and breakfast,
no-show 100% of the tour price for bed and breakfast.

Free cancellation of a maximum of 2 rooms is possible up to 10 days before arrival.

When can I check in, when do I check out?

On the day of arrival, our rooms/apartments are available to you from 3 pm, on the day of departure, the rooms/apartments must be vacated by 10 am. Early arrival and later departure are only possible by prior arrangement. We normally hold your room/apartment for you until 6 pm. For late arrival please contact us, we will hold the room for you. This does not apply to guaranteed reservations (deposit or deposited credit card).

Does the hotel/apartments have bedding suitable for allergy sufferers, extra pillows or head wedges?

All beds are with feather and down free bedsheets Each guest can choose from different pillows, in the sizes 80×80, 40×80 and 40×40 cm. All duvets oversized 155 x 220 cm. Most of our beds have a slatted frame with adjustable headboard.

Is there a possibility for an extra bed in my room / apartment?

An extra bed is possible in all double rooms comfort and apartments

Are baby beds available ?

We are happy to provide baby cots for a fee. Our baby cribs are wooden beds instead of travelbeds. Please make early reservations

Are dogs allowed in the hotel / apartment?

Dogs are only welcome with us by direct booking. We do not accept dogs via booking portals!

You may bring your dog with you on the condition that your dog is not left alone in the hotel room.
We charge € 15 (without food) per night.

For breakfast with your dog, please use the entrance of our fireplace room. Your dog is not allowed direct access to the main restaurant during breakfast time due to the buffet in the entrance area. During the restaurant opening hours, your dog is allowed to accompany you to the restaurant.

Due to our experiences, we feel compelled to point out that we do not tolerate dogs on sofas and beds. Please bring your own dog blanket. If the bed and sofa become soiled due to dog hair, we charge a flat rate for the additional cleaning effort of € 150

When booking, please let us know if you would like to bring a dog for a fee.

Are the rooms / apartments accessible for the handicapped ?

We have a wheelchair accessible apartment (100sqm) for 6 persons.
Im Haupthaus bieten wir 2 Rollstuhlgeeignete Doppelzimmer Komfort an.
Reception and gastronomy are barrier-free accessible via a ramp. On the ground floor there is a toilet that can be used with the wheelchair.

Does the hotel have an elevator?

Yes ! In the main building only.

What is the screen size of the TV’s ?

Our double- and single hotelrooms are equipped with a 26 “flat screen TV.
Our 3-bed hotelrooms and holiday apartments are equipped with a 32” flat screen TV.

Is there a car park?

Parking is available at the hotel and is free of charge.

Is there a way to park my bike / bicycle safe at night?

We have a large parking space for all two-wheelers and trikes, which is locked during the night.

For each bed a two-wheeler parking space is available. These are also free of charge.

Is there enough room to park my car with (motorcycle)trailer?

Parking is available at the hotel to park your car and trailer during your holiday with motorbike.

How are the bathrooms equipped?

All bathrooms are equipped with shower / WC, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, soap, shower gel, wet toilet paper and facial tissues.

Can I borrow a bathrobe?

Would you like a bathrobe during your stay, you can order it at the reception (extra charge).

For houseguests using our sauna a bathrobe is included during the time of their stay.

What are the opening times of the sauna?

For houseguests the sauna is turned on by request. The pre-heating time is about 45 minutes. The sauna is opened until 10 pm.
We charge €5 per person.
You have booked your stay directly? By email, phone or via waldesblick.de? The use of the sauna is our thank you for your reservation and is free of charge for you.
You would like to use the sauna exclusively? For this we charge €30 for 3 hours.
Sauna towels and bathrobes are provided and are included in the price. For houseguests using our sauna a bathrobe is included during the time of their stay. Refreshments will also be available for you.

Can I use the sauna when I am not staying at the hotel?

During our opening hours, the sauna will be at your disposal. Give us a call.

Refreshments can be ordered at the bar in the restaurant.

Where are the nearest shops and a petrol station?

You will find both in Kastellaun and Treis-Karden. Do you prefer a larger selection, go to Kastellaun.

Do you have ponies / horses for riding?

We have no horses. Nearby there are several riding stables.
