In the summer of 1971, Katharina and Manfred Wendling greeted their first guests in Manfred Wendling\u2018s parental home in the village center.<\/p>\n
In 1973, during the new construction of the house at the current location, the first 3 guest rooms with shower and toilet were furnished and since then the house was modernized and expanded several times.<\/p>\n
In 1996, four holiday flats were created by converting the granary and machine shed into a guest house.<\/p>\n
In 2002, son Heribert Wendling took over his parents’ business. and the switch from \u201ePension Waldesblick\u201c to \u201eWaldesblick Ferienhof & Gasthaus\u201c led to the transfer to Hotel. A reception area with a guest room and bar was created and the kitchen was enlarged and completely renovated. The toilet facilities were rebuilt in the basement.<\/p>\n
In 2004, the entrance area with a glass roof and a small terrace were created by building private rooms for two generations.<\/p>\n
In 2007, the hotel was awarded the European hotel classification for the first time. It was awarded 3 stars at the first attempt. Die Bezeichnung “Ferienhof & Gasthaus” wurde durch “Hotel & Ferienwohnungen” ersetzt.<\/p>\n
The expansion of the terrace in 2012 and the conversion of a guest room into a restaurant in 2014 meet the changed gastronomic needs of our hotel.<\/p>\n
Since August 2016 our hotel has been awarded 3 stars superior in the European hotel classification. Since then, the hotel has been called “Hotel & Restaurant Waldesblick”.<\/p>\n
Extensive renovation and expansion work on the main building started in October 2017. Since May 2018, Waldesblick has presented itself in it\u2018s current format. All rooms in the main building have become larger and have modern bathrooms. The restaurant is completely new and now offers room for up to 100 people.<\/p>\n
Since November 2019 our hotel has been awarded 4 stars in the European hotel classification.<\/p>\n

The first spadeful of earth was turned at the end of October 2017 for the largest construction project to date. The original residential building from 1973 was extended and renovated. Spacious hotel rooms and bathrooms were created that meet the highest standards. The restaurant and the associated kitchen were newly built. The sauna was supplemented with a light-flooded relaxation room.<\/p>\n
